It was not your ship but mine.
And it was your OTP on the line.

#i want you back on my screen #i’d be even okay with having your earth alternate #he could work for tamara’s home office or whatever
#the sad part is that she’s 100 percent right #and he’s wrong #but he keeps telling himself this over and over #secrets protect us #secrets make us safe #until the point where he actually believes it #you can see it in his eyes #and she finds that to be crazy #to me #this is probably one of the doctor’s scariest moments #because he says something so completely terrible #and yet it believes it completely
That awkward moment when the worst father in the history of television handles gay talk to his son better than 90% of world’s parents.
#ooh parallels #bless this show and its continuity #thank you RTD for making this work in that crazy genius brain of yours #how you tied runaway bride together with donna’s entire arc is FUCKING BREATHTAKING #it’s also fucking HEARTBREAKING but that’s okay i forgive you kind of not really#because you gave us this epic character and this phenomenal friendship and ugh my heart hurts thinking of this #this really is one of my most favourite things about the doctor and donna #how he just assumed she wasn’t special or important and said so RIGHT TO HER FACE #only to realise by the end of the episode that she was BOTH special and important #and then got a whole other series’ worth of proof that donna was special and important both in and of herself and to him #he didn’t know when he first met her how much she would mean to him #she saved him from spiralling after he lost rose #she saved him from being alone after he drove martha away #she was his best friend in all of time and space. his best mate. #they ran together laughed together saved universes and each other together #even if she hadn’t saved the entire universe by defeating davros #she was special and important to him and he knew it #and he let her realise she was special and important too #something she never thought she was. something she just hid away beneath her bluster and her shouting. #FUCK I HATE AND LOVE THIS RELATIONSHIP SO MUCH IT MAKES MY HEART HURT AND MY BRAIN CRY TEARS OF BLOOD (via virginiachance)
“I’m sorry. This is the first time I’ve hired a maid.”
what i loved about Celia Foote is that she didn’t treat Minnie like a maid, she treated her like a friend.
that’s because she didn’t want a maid.
It’s so sad because it’s true, she wasn’t looking to hire a maid, she was literally looking to hire a friend.
Celia’s from a very small place called Sugar Ditch which is a real place in Tunica, Mississippi called Sugar Ditch Alley, a very poor place. She came from humble beginnings, that’s why she’s so sweet with Minny. She’s the born-poor girl who lands herself the richest, cutest guy in town and gets shunned out of pure jealousy. At first you think Celia is like the blond stereotype, you know, silly and dumb… But she’s so, so fierce. She miscarried four times and she had to stay strong all the time because she’s so afraid to lose her husband. And she did it all without help. And it’s so sad because while she wants to be a (good) mother, people like Hilly and her friends treat their children like crap. This is one reason why Minny becomes so protective of her. Because she knows that Celia is different. And Celia, this “silly woman”, gave strength to Minny leave her abusive husband. No wonder why Mr. Johnny loves Celia so much and chose her instead of Hilly. She’s definitely my favourite character in this film.
this honestly made me feel better literally everything is fine now
